You will be integral to ASU Hillel s success by developing relationships with student leaders to help them grow as individuals while they work to grow our Jewish community. Equally important, you will also shape Jewish life as a thought partner to the Executive Director and a leader to our program staff team. Serving in all of these capacities, you will directly or indirectly impact every Jewish student s experience with ASU Hillel.
What You ll Do
With the Executive Director and other staff, design and execute an engagement plan to connect more than 70% of Jewish students at ASU to Hillel s mission, advancing and stewarding our strategy of adding new and supporting existing niche programs that speak to students diverse interests
Supervise, mentor and support the growth of 3 staff members and 30+ talented student leaders running a robust program including Shabbat, holiday celebrations, and meaningful Jewish experiences
Nurture our culture of innovation, creativity, leadership development and flexibility
Create and maintain strategic partnerships with the University community, including Student Affairs and Admissions, parents, alumni, and lay leaders
Support the development team and Executive Director in core fundraising activities, including donor relations, strategic fundraising conversations, special events and student Development Committee efforts
On a day to day basis you will
Recruit, supervise and lead the student internship team and student board
Lead weekly staff meetings, meet one-on-one with staff, facilitate staff involvement in full-team efforts (i. e., major holidays, Family Weekend) and plan quarterly retreats in collaboration with senior leadership
Manage all information flow within the organization to keep our team on the same page including marketing, social media, programming and the calendar
Oversee the program budget, distribute funds, account for costs, and pursue grant opportunities
Oversee the collection and analysis of our engagement data in partnership with Hillel International
Staff Shabbat and holiday programming, assisting with discussions, rituals, and celebrations
Supportive immersive experiences by teaching Jewish education classes and staffing Birthright Israel trips
Participate in ongoing Jewish learning and professional development
What You ve Accomplished
5+ in Jewish, experiential or higher education
Experience as a professional in a Jewish nonprofit organization is preferred
Bachelor s degree required
Proven success in:
Managing a team, including hiring, excellent supervision skills and ability to coach others to achieve outcomes
Creating structures and opportunities that assist and empower students to take initiative and ownership for their communities
Building relationships with leaders within education or the nonprofit space
Developing and/or implementing a strategic plan, including reporting and tracking data
Management of multiple projects while maintaining quality

Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $55,000-$65,000
