Responsibilities:The Department of Psychology at The New School for Social Research seeks a licensed Clinical Psychologist (NY eligible) to serve as an Assistant Professor (on a Renewable Term Appointment) and as the Director and primary training supervisor for The Safran Center for Psychological Services, our university-housed training and research clinic.Our Faculty Director will teach five clinically-oriented PhD courses (each one semester long) and manage day-to-day operations of the clinic in consultation with the other Clinical Psychology faculty. The Directors primary duties include (but are not limited to) student clinician supervision; recruitment of clinical supervisors; supervision of clinical supervisors; oversight of Center-based research as the Centers principal investigator; and mentorship of PhD students as they prepare for internship and research. The position works closely with the Director of Clinical Training, the Clinical Psychology Co-Chair and the full clinical faculty to ensure the smooth operation of The Safran Center and to help shape broader clinical student programming.The New School is committed to actively recruiting applications from a diverse pool.
