Summary: The communications team at the Tent Partnership for Refugees is responsible for raising awareness and visibility of Tent among business audiences, and positioning Tent as a thought leader in private sector solutions to the refugee crisis. Reporting into one of our Comms Managers, the Marketing and Communications intern is responsible for providing critical support to the Communications team across all of its activities spanning events, digital and social media, as well as press and speaker opportunities. We re a small, tight knit and fast paced team, deeply committed to Tent s mission of galvanizing the business community to help refugees. Responsibilities: Draft social media posts across all of Tent s social channels, with a view to growing Tent s audience Draft new content and update Tent s website, helping us to coordinate a website revamp Maintain, organize and help us grow Tent s media bank Draft copy for Tent s communications to members, including newsletters and invites Help coordinate and organize events at Tent including this year s flagship event on the margins of the UN General Assembly Draft briefing notes for our founder and Tent staff ahead of events and speaking engagements Help us identify press to pitch Tent news stories Oversee design partners work on Tent marketing materials, coordinating feedback and production timelines Monitor all coverage and relevant news relating to refugees Help us generate creative ideas to tell Tent s story across our own and earned channels Skills & Interests: A great writer and editor A keen eye for detail Ability to juggle multiple projects at once A willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced start-up environment A deep interest in the news An alignment to our mission A passion for storytelling All interested candidates, please email resume to careerstent.org.
