Senior Workday Analyst - M&A Permanent - NYC $120,000 + package

About the Role

Our NYC-based client is seeking to hire a Senior Analyst to support the key programs including but not limited to Mergers & Acquisitions and Workday HCM process improvements. This hands-on technical role provides an excellent opportunity for professionals to apply their knowledge of HR business processes with direct hands on experience in Workday HCM process design, configuration and implementation to support a growing and developing global, pre-IPO organization.


  • Manage the end-to-end functional support for Workday HCM: Benefits, Time & Absence, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent Management & Advanced Reporting.
  • Work closely with the business teams to understand functional requirements and execute them
  • Configure and administer data security and comply with policies and procedures
  • Assist in resolving User \"How To\" questions and create relevant job aids/training/communications aids
  • Data transformation and uploads using the Workday EIB process.
  • Troubleshoot problems, test, and work with business to resolve issues.
  • Broker decisions with appropriate stakeholders, identify issues and escalate risks.
  • Identify and take ownership of process improvements on the Systems team
  • Translate business needs into requirement specifications to outside vendors where applicable.
  • Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and training to business teams
  • Design and develop custom reports as required for business users and senior executives
  • Partner with Corporate Technology to streamline system integrations
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field
  • 2 to 5+ years of Workday HCM systems experience required
  • End to end implementation experience including project management, issue management, communication and change management
  • Excellent knowledge of HR, Payroll & Benefits processes, procedures and best practices
