The placement will be suitable for someone who is seeking a career in content or digital marketing or science communications. The Source is Springer Natures blog for the research community, providing insight and discussion on the academic world. This internship will work directly on content development and promotion of The Source to researchers.DescriptionWorking under the guidance of the Content Marketing Manager, the main activities will be:To conduct and write interviews on topics relating to academic publishing both from the publisher and the researcher perspectiveTo research and draft blog articles based on topics assigned by the Content Marketing ManagerTo research/solicit/permission relevant third party content for The SourceTo proofread and publish blog content on The SourceTo work with the Content Marketing Manager and Brand/Engagement Marketing Manager to deliver social media (paid and organic) promotion of The SourceTo shadow the Brand/Engagement Marketing Manager on wider digital promotion of The Source (e.g. PPC)To shadow the Content Marketing Manager on running content marketing team meetings and analysing performanceThis paid position (8 weeks) requires 3 to 4 days a weekup to 28 hours ($15 p/h)in our New York City offices from July to September 2019.QualificationsMust have command over the basics of reporting and writing and a strong interest in science and research.
