RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Running sales reports
  • Creating binders/boards for presentations
  • Organizing current and future season samples
  • Setting up daily, weekly, monthly recaps
  • Day-to-day functions such as copying, printing and handling sample requests for cross-functional team members.
  • Assisting in prepping for important meetings such as visual floor sets, hindsight & buy presentations.
  • QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    Education: Currently in undergraduate or graduate program

    Skills:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interest in gaining knowledge and developing merchandising skillset
  • Intern must have Monday availability
  • INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

    Internal: Kids Company Store Team Buying, Design, Product Development, Production Operations, Planning, Allocation, Visual, Tech Design, etc.

    External: N/A

  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team

  • Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environment with shifting priorities while maintaining deadlines
  • Candidate should be flexible, open to exposure to all phases of Merchandising and Retail
  • *Please note that applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program during the Fall 2019 semester. School credit is offered but not required. A candidate's application acknowledges that they will be available to intern a minimum of three full days per week throughout the duration of the program, which lasts from September 9 through December 6 (with Thanksgiving week off).
