About Our Internship Program
This is an unpaid educational internship that runs from September - December 2019. You must be eligible for college credit. As an intern, you ll gain experience unparalleled in the classroom. We provide interns with the opportunity to learn and develop new skills while gaining a deeper understanding of concepts through hands-on application. Working closely with their supervisor, interns explore their career field of interest, acquire new skills, and develop transferable skills.
We are looking for a Merchandise Intern who will support the buying team to grow and improve the business. The intern will assist with the administrative activity required to maintain a constant and adequate flow of merchandise to our site while building and maintaining strong relationships amongst all internal and external partners. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Drop Ship, Brand and Creative.
Summary of Duties And Responsibilities:
-Own item creation from inputting styles in the system and ensuring styles pub in a timely and efficient manner-Request samples for photoshoots-Attend market with the buying team-Assist buying team with and provide support for any additional company-wide projects and/or initiativesas needed
-Education: Must be currently enrolled in a college or university majoring in related fields such as Buying, Business and/or Fashion Merchandising (prior internship experience preferred)-Must be in an academic program that accepts internship credit-Must be located in the greater NYC area-Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative environment-Strong Functional/Technical/PC skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency-Strong eye for detail and organizational skills and strives for a high level of accuracy-Proactive and able to work with stringent deadlines-Professional and well-spoken with excellent communication skills-Team player build relationships with other internal and external teams and functions for personal and business development.
