Our client - a well known mid-sized Financial Services business based in Manhattan - are looking for an interim Diversity & Inclusion Specialist. This role will be for 5 months to begin with, with a view of going permanent.

Description
In general the successful candidate will monitor and evaluate the employment life cycle events (applicants, new hires, terminations, etc.) through metrics and analytics. They will also propose enhancements that are aligned with the Bank's workforce strategy and commitment to D&I.

The role will involve:
  • Track/monitor and maintain metrics on talent acquisition and employment life cycle, and provide reports and dashboards on a regular basis and proposed enhancements that are aligned with the Bank's workforce strategy and commitment to D&I.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with professional associations, high schools and universities that specialize in the education, development, and networking of African American or Black, and Hispanic or Latino professionals and individuals, as well as those with disabilities.
  • Implement innovative outreach programs at the University and professional levels using diversity and inclusion best practice to position the Bank as an employer of choice.
  • Assist in managing the Bank's internship program including sourcing talent with a focus on diverse hires.
  • Organize and execute engagement activities with target schools and university diversity partnerships.
  • Partner with hiring managers to attend outreach programs and job fairs.
  • Participate in procurement outreach programs through networking with local development centers, contractors and business associations, minority purchasing councils, and the local Chambers of Commerce.
  • Assist in the efficient and effective execution of HR employee life cycle processes (ex: orientation, evaluations, employee relations etc.)
  • Serve as back-up to recruiter(s) and other HR Business Partners as necessary.
Additionally you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Help develop and execute appropriate outreach (and/or programs) to effectively address concerns.
- Enhance the Bank's pipeline for talent in the high demand areas and to increase the number of diverse candidates and individuals with disabilities applying and being hired for open positions at the Bank.
- Help increase the number of Minority, gender equal, Disabled-Owned Business Enterprises (\"MWDOB\") for vendor relationship managers to select from and provide an opportunity to bid for the Bank's goods and services that result in increasing the amount of Bank spend
Profile
The successful candidate will:
  • Have 6 years in an HR department with a focus on metrics and analytics, as well as diversity and inclusion outreach. Some procurement experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated research, analysis, and data collection skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation).
  • Be immediately available
