This position is responsible for providing administrative support and assistance toward the daily activities involving FMLA, Disability and Workers Compensation. The HR Assistant- is responsible for compliance of companys policies in the areas of FMLA, NY PFL, Disability and Workers Compensation that impact the companys employees in all departments.

  • Process and respond to all employee inquiries on HR matters in an efficient and timely manner
  • Act as a liaison to all Administrative personnel on behalf of the HR Department on all HR-related matter
  • Manage & maintain communication with outside agencies and internal employees.
  • Maintain phone coverage including handling of messages & inquiries
  • Establish & maintain working relationships with Interdepartmental personnel to ensure policies, procedures & communications are followed
  • Corresponds with employees regarding FMLA, NY PFL, Disability and workers Compensation inquiries
  • Process, tracks and administers Disability, NY PFL and Workers Compensation Claims
  • Knowledge of FMLA, Disability and Workers Compensation policies and procedures
  • Experience handling and maintaining highly confidential information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • At least two years of experience in Human Resources preferred
  • Bilingual Preferred (English and Spanish)
