This position is based in our New York, NYoffice.Were looking for a Digital Editor to join our super-busy Business Media Content Hub and help us reimagine and reposition two of our strongest titles. Youll work in a fast-paced environment in our Chelsea newsroom where youll help produce all manner of content for PRWeek and MM&M. Youll be an integral part of the team that helps us reach our dedicated and loyal B2B audience. We need energy, creativity, a sense of team play and a positive attitude.If you have great skills at copy editing, writing sharp headlines and captions that are as engaging to Google as they are to our readers, as well as HTML, coding and podcast production. Were looking for someone with a get-it-done-well agenda, who doesnt need a ton of direction and who wants to get 1% better every day while helping our team and our products improve.Job Overview:The Digital Editor will establish and execute a creative digital vision for editorial content and flagship annual projects for MM&M, PRWeek, and Haymarket Business Medias Custom Group. Working alongside art directors, editors and web creatives, you will manage the process from conception to completion with the ultimate aim of creating engaging online content to connect with each brands audience.Responsibilities:Be hands on with content: As well as developing robust online packages, you will also help to repackage print articles for online audiences, with an emphasis on SEO headlines and strong imageryWork with web creative and digital editors to request improvements to backend and frontend of PRWeek and MM&M websitesMonitor engagement and performance of featured content (daily, weekly, monthly) using analytics tools, leveraging insights to make decisions on editorial contentEnsure information on our website and other platforms is presented in an easily digestible manner that works for mobile and desktop platformsEnsure project deadlines and responsibilities are understood by all involvedSkills and Requirements:Prior experience managing web-based editorial projects is essential, as is ability to multi-taskMinimum three years web content experience using CMS such as WordPress or other custom platforms; CSS a bonusAbility to analyze web traffic data in Google Analytics and present the information in an easily digestible manner, turning the data into actionable insightsThis role calls for an organized, innovative mind and someone who has knowledge of the latest industry standards and trends in web design that will help increase readership of online featuresHTML, coding and podcast skillsAbout Haymarket:Haymarket has its heart and soul in publishing and media.
