The companys newest division, Cond Nast Entertainment, was launched in 2011 to develop film, television and premium digital video programming.Conde Nasts Commerce team is looking for a savvy Associate Commerce Editor to help turn Epicuriouss shopping vertical into the most trustedand best writtenshopping site on the internet. At heart, youre a cooking enthusiast and writer, willing to support a team of editors, reporters, and photographers in producing upwards of 25 stories a week.Responsibilities include:Editing and/or refreshing shopping articles to reflect current pricing, best SEO practices, and new product inclusionsResearching product categories to ensure our reporters test the most relevant lineup of gearPitching ideas for articles, product tests, roundups, and videos at weekly brainstorm sessionsWorking with the Associate Photo Editor to prep for weekly photo shootsOwning the product closet by keeping track of whats in, whats returned, and what were still waiting forAssisting the Commerce Editor with invoicing and onboarding freelancersWriting and/or refreshing a handful of shopping articles per weekQualifications:The perfect candidate is extremely organized and finds joy in creating order. They thrive working in a scrappy, fast-paced environment, and can keep multiple balls in the air at all times. This person loves food, loves cooking, loves gadgets, loves social media, and probably loves design as well. And this person is a promising editor, somebody who wants to grow into a more senior editorial role one day.Demonstrated ability to write and edit compelling content (ideally shopping content)Familiarity with the process of calling in products from manufacturers and retailersExperience working closely and collaboratively with editorial, food, social, and photo teamsFamiliarity with SEO and SEMStrong organizational skills, a self-directed work style, and polished communication skillsA love for cooking, or at the very least eating (we tend to have a lot of snacks around here)What happens next?If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply below and we will review your application as soon as possible.
