Job Summary

Leading not for profit think tank, seeks to hire a Temp to Perm HR Assistant to join their team. The person in this role provides administrative support to both the Vice President and Director. Those tasks will include answering phones, handling general inquiries from staffing, maintaining email inbox, scheduling meetings and interviews, and maintaining employee records. In addition this person will coordinate logistics for internal employee events, support the full cycle recruitment process, process departmental invoices, back-up the firm's Receptionist as needed, and assist with administration of employee benefits and database management. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of related HR or administrative experience with a strong focus on customer service, excellent attention to detail and follow through skills, a Bachelor's degree in a related field (an interest in foreign policy a plus!), and strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in the MS Word, Outlook and Excel a must with prior exposure to mail merges. Knowledge of ADP a plus! Permanent salary will pay in the low 40's. Hours are Monday - Friday 9-5/5:30pm. The company offers summer Friday's from July 4th - Labor Day.
