POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Merchandising Intern at Todd Snyder, a division of AEO Inc., you will partner with the Merchandising team, spending 10+ weeks learning what it takes to create, edit, and produce the assortment that ends up in stores.

You will learn and help drive the entire Product Life Cycle of a collection from initial concept and inspiration, through design, retail assorting, wholesale market, runway show, and finally production. This role requires not only a passion for retail and trend, but also a very strong analytical and business acumen. If you love working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and learn well on the fly, this is the role for you.

TRAINING OVERVIEW:
Gain an understanding of the role of Merchandising in the product life-cycle
Participate in meetings with cross functional partners
Learn to identify the Todd Snyder customer

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sample management
Running selling reports
Creating and updating merchandising tools
Style creation and data entry in RLM
Assist the team on various projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
Students are eligible after they have completed their junior year at a 4 year college or university
Preferred majors include a Business, Merchandising or Retail Related Degree
Minimum 3.0 GPA required
Strong business acumen through classes, internships, or prior work experience
Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
Passion for retail and knowledge of the AEO Inc. family of brands, specifically Todd Snyder
Understanding of trends and apparel industry in general
High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
Must accommodate living and working in New York, NY
